Sierra Leone Breweries

About this project

We have been asked to arrange all the large lifting work and deliver machines such as a boom lift, a telehandler and a forklift truck at the Heineken brewery in Freetown (Sierra Leone). We regularly visit the brewery for various purposes, such as placing new stainless steel fermentation tanks, lifting out old fermentation tanks and placing a deaeration unit. The client does not have his own cranes and, after assessment, we found a local company with cranes in the required capacity class. The Grove GMK 5130 was used at the brewery after a revision of the outrigger cylinders and various other repairs. We regularly visit the brewery to carry out various kinds of lifting work. In order to save costs, this is usually combined with the maintenance and repairs of the project or brewery machines.
